Four Cannon soccer players named all-conference
Four Cannon School boys soccer players were named to the CISAA All-Conference team: Dillon Freer, Zach Roositch, Matt Sarett and Zach Tysinger.
The four players are joined by:
Country Day: John Kendall and States Lee.
Charlotte Christian: Will Readhead.
Charlotte Latin: Michael Grace, Jonathan Grad, David Limentani, Will McGinnis, Will O'Brien and Harper Williams.
Providence Day: Richie Erb, PJ Heacock and Conor Redmond.

Playoff update: Oct. 28
Cannon School won 4-3 over North Raleigh Christian in the NCISAA 3A boys soccer tournament.
The Cannon volleyball team fell short in the NCISAA tournament against Wesleyan Christian, losing in three straight.
Concord and Hickory Ridge both lost in the second round of the NCHSAA 3A volleyball tournament to Weddington and West Iredell, respectively, both in three games.

Cannon School junior named girls' golf CISAA player of the year
Brianna Ratté, a Cannon School junior who resides in Huntersville, was named the Charlotte Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) player of the year in girls’ golf following an undefeated season. The 16-year-old was also named to the all-conference team for the second time along with golfers from Charlotte Country Day School and Providence Day School.
Cannon School’s girls’ golf team finished behind conference champion Charlotte Country Day School in the CISAA Conference Tournament held Oct. 20 at Skybrook Golf Course in Huntersville. This is Cannon’s second year of CISAA competition.
Playoff update: Oct. 27
The second round of the NCHSAA state volleyball playoffs are tonight. In the 3A division, Hickory Ridge faces West Iredell and Concord faces Weddington.
The second round of the NCISAA volleyball playoffs are also tonight. Cannon School faces Wesleyan in the 3A division.
Concord is also in the second round of the State Dual Team Tennis tournament, where they will face Charlotte Catholic today.
Finally, Cannon School will face North Raleigh Christian in the second round of the boys soccer NCISAA tournament.

Cannon Middle School volleyball won GCMSAA Tournament
The Cannon Middle School girls volleyball team beat Charlotte Latin to win the GCMSAA tournament Friday.
The team advanced to the finals after beating Holy Trinity 25-23,20-25 and 25-23 (best two out of three).
Head Coach is Lisa Cunningham; Assistant Coach is Camilla McWilliams.
Cannon Middle School tennis in GCMSAA conference finals
The Cannon School 2009 girls middle school tennis team advanced to the finals of the GCMSAA Conference Championship vs Holy Trinity of Charlotte on Friday, Oct. 23, held at Jeff Adams Tennis Center.
The girls lost the match but had an extremely successful season.
The team consists of 8- 8th graders: Carolyn Hynes, Stephanie Williams, Nicole Hensley, Olivia Clark, Katie Fitzpatrick Daniela Malmstrom and MaryKate Mackin, (not pictured is Angela Poffenbaugh).
There were 4- 7th graders including: Kate Beckman, Tori Campbell, Emily Malmstrom and Rachel Fitzpatrick.
The team was Coached by Russell Marks.
