Jay M. Robinson girls' basketball team unbeaten

The Jay M. Robinson girls' basketball is playing for the first time in years at the 3A level.

So far, the Bulldogs are a perfect 16-0, including 7-0 in South Piedmont conference play.

Robinson is led by senior forward, Tabby Koerner, who has committed to play for Gardner Webb next year, and is averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, junior Kelsee Cheek is also play big for Robinson, averaging 20 points per game. Cheek is also a Division I recruit getting interest from all over right now.

The Bulldogs may face their toughest game of the year, this Tuesday night, though when they travel to Concord, who is 11-5 overall, but also a perfect 6-0 in conference play.

The Spiders have won the last two conference titles, including the 2008 3A state championship.
