Robinson's Tucker wins indoor championships

Jay M. Robinson's Erin Tucker led Cabarrus-area runners at the state indoor track championships in Chapel Hill on Saturday.


The senior won state titles in both events she competed in, the 55-meter hurdles and 55-meter run.

The rest of SPC:

A.L. Brown:
Travis Bailey finished fifth in the boys' shot put.
Keonna Artis finished third in the girls' high jump.

Concord:
Juanita Leto finished third in the girls' 55-meter hurdles and ninth in the 55-meter dash.

Hickory Ridge:
Coye Still finished second in the boys' long jump and fifth in the boys' high jump.
Taryn Stern finished third in the girls' 1600-meter run.

Mount Pleasant:
Kunle Akindahunsi finished ninth and Garrett Miller finished 11th in the boys' 300-meter run.
Jocelyn Parnell finished second in the girls' shot put.
Kayleigh Norris finished eighth in the girls' pole vault.
Miranda Clark finished 15th in the girls' 300-meter dash.

Northwest Cabarrus:
Trevor Anderson finished fifth in the boys' triple jump.
Richard Cotton finished fourth in the boys' 300-meter run.
Arianna Tucker finished seventh in the girls' high jump.
