Cannon
School's girls' golf team won the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic
Association's state championship strokes Monday in Greensboro.
The
Cougars were led by sophomore Kate Collum, who shot an 18-hole score of 75, and
her freshman sister Annie, who finished fourth in the field with a 78. Cannon's
Anna Redding (79) and Taylor Bunten (88) were fifth and ninth for the
tournament.
Cannon
finished with a score of 232 - 22 strokes ahead of Raleigh's Ravenscroft.
