Concord and Jay M. Robinson both lost third round soccer playoff matches today, ruining the chances of a South Piedmont Conference match-up in the quarterfinals of the N.C. 3A tournament.
Robinson (20-3-1) fell to Charlotte Catholic (21-1-3) 1-0, ending a 16-game win streak. The Bulldogs were out-shot 13-3 in the contest.
Marvin Ridge (19-2-1) beat Concord 2-0 (10-8-1).
Marvin Ridge will face Charlotte Catholic in the quarterfinals.
