Concord's Wilson signs with Washington State

Heather Wilson, a senior at Concord High School, has committed to play volleyball at Washington State University, where she will major in pre-veterinary medicine. Wilson was featured in the first issue of the Cabarrus News.

A 6-foot setter, Heather has been accepted for early admittance to WSU and will begin classes in January 2010. Wilson is a four-year volleyball letter-winner at Concord, where she was player of the year in 2008 and again this year for the South Piedmont
Conference.

"(Heather) will have the opportunity to lead this team as a freshman setter and I am confident that with hard work and preparation Heather will continue the momentum that we gained during the 2009 season," said Washington State head coach Andrew Palileo.
